A  martingale dog collar should be fitted to the exact size of the dog’s neck when the collar is pulled closed the two rings should never meet.

There is a slider on the tail of the martingale that allows you to adjust the size of the opening to get it over your dogs head then adjust back so they  Don't slip out of it.

Please make sure the measurement is a tight measurement of you dogs neck up behind its ears the narrowest part of your dogs neck  or it will be to big possible allowing them to escape.
